Within minutes of my first contact with Clare and Gerald I knew that I wanted to work with them, that I wanted to be there with them on their wedding day. Given that we lived on different sides of the country I knew that was a big call to make without having met them in person but I was right. They were exactly the people I’d drive across Australia for.

We met initially when I had come over to photograph another stunning couple in the beautiful Barossa Valley and the location they suggested for their engagement session, Mount Osmond, was so incredibly breathtaking that I literally kept getting lost for words. We walked around with their puppy and talked like old friends. When I left that day I was so excited to come back just over 4 weeks later to witness them saying their I-dos.

The day was perfect from beginning to end. It was the perfect mix of love and laughter and crazy fun energy bought over from Clares Scottish family - think a room full of Australians being taught traditional scottish dancing and actually doing bloody well at it! And I obviously cried during the beautiful speeches, they always bloody get me.

The venue of O’Leary Walker Wines was absolutely stellar, the staff were incredible and made the entire night run so smoothly which I appreciated. And the food! No words.

I’m smiling as I’m writing this, the warmth of Clare and Gerald and their loved ones will permanently stay with me and I will always be grateful for the experience x
