About Beth

So glad to have you here!

About me | Beth Fernley | NSW South Coast Photographer

Me …

… Beth, photographer of people and lover of the beach. I swear I was born with sand between my toes. I live on the NSW south coast, married to the love of my life and we have six children aged eighteen years to twelve months. With two dogs thrown into the mix, life is raw and messy and real – and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Behind the lens my style is genuine and candid. I photograph people, not poses; the way you feel, not the way you look. I want to capture the connection between you and your family being your beautifully imperfect selves.

When I'm not taking photos you'll find me in a boat on the water, or camping down the coast. I love cuddles with my babies, curling up with a good book, and a sneaky antipasto and wine with my love when the kids go to bed. I laugh a lot. Sometimes I get so caught up in the moment that I fall over – literally! I sing loudly and perform random acts of kindness.

You …

… love the smell of the ocean and the wind on your skin. Bare legs in summer, salt on your lashes; snuggly jumpers and crackling fires in winter. You're not a fan of cheesy. You'd love it if things always went to plan, but you know they seldom do. You love the real and the raw, and you embrace the messiness of life.

Your loved ones are your universe, and you value photography that looks into your souls and captures your bond.

Together …

… when I connect with people through my lens, there's a magic that happens in me and in them that goes way beyond pretty pictures. After a session with me, you'll feel more loved and more in love than ever before.

Your feedback feeds me. Knowing that I've enabled you to connect on a deeper level with your loved ones is what drives me to do what I do.

So call me, email me, do whatever works for you. Let's talk.
